We’ve had shirts made for our September 17th meeting!

IMG_6372.jpeg

Great news! Shirts will be available for purchase at the meeting! We have a limited supply of just 20. Medium to extra-large sizes are $13, and 2XL shirts are $15.

If you’re not planning to purchase one, please wear a white shirt. The more of us in white sitting together, the more noticeable our presence will be—and the stronger our statement against the rezoning! Let’s make an impact!

Rezoning Issue

Attention Community! There’s a significant threat to our neighborhood with plans for a new high-density development (Apartments and Condos) near De Portola and Mesa Rd, this would potentially bring up to 4000 new residence to our rural area. This project involves approximately 410 acres that could change zoning in our area, impacting access from Mesa East Benton, and De Portola. We need your voices to be heard at crucial meetings in Riverside (see below). Please join us, share this message, and sign the petition to help protect our community

Meeting Update!

We’ve just received confirmation from the County regarding our next meeting—it will be a Planning Commissioners meeting tentatively set for September 17th at 4080 Lemon Street, Riverside, CA 92501

(1st Floor).

Let’s all get this on our calendars early. Just like the strong turnout we had at the GPAC meeting, a united presence is key to our continued success. Our involvement made a real impact last time—let’s keep that momentum going and show, once again, that this proposal doesn’t work in our rural area.

They will release the agenda item number 72hrs before the meeting. You can email Emorarodriguez@rivco.org with your comments (include in your email, GPA240053 and that you oppose) and it will be added as part of the package for the meeting. Speaker slips will be available at the meeting, you will need to have the GPA240053 number and the agenda number we don't have yet (we will update 72hrs before meeting with that number for you). You can also email District 3s Supervisor Chuck Washington at D3email@rivco.org in the subject enter GPA240053 and that you Oppose it, then continue with the remainder of your email. Let's do this!

This is absurd!
